Has anyone used a simple CRM system to track client interactions while handling overdue invoices and collecting debts?

Juggling overdue invoices can get messy. I’ve been trying to keep tabs on clients who haven’t paid up yet.

Would a straightforward CRM make it easier to track those interactions and what I’ve said to each client?

A basic CRM helps when you have multiple clients with overdue payments.

I use one to log when I sent reminders and what the client said back. Makes it easier to see who’s been dodging me for weeks versus who just needs another nudge.

Don’t need anything fancy, just something that tracks dates and notes.

I just call people when they owe me money.

Keeping it simple works too. A notebook can do the job for tracking overdue invoices.

Using a spreadsheet works well for tracking payments. List the dates, amounts, and details of your communication. I send the same late notice email each time. If they go 30 days overdue, I add a late fee. At 60 days, I send a final notice before moving to collections. This straightforward method gets results without needing to learn new software.
