Lately, I’ve been sending invoices from my phone more often. My current templates look awful on mobile screens. Anyone else struggle with this? I’m wondering if there are any good, professional-looking templates out there that actually work well on phones.
I’ve been there. Struggled with awful mobile invoices for a while.
Eventually, I made my own simple template in Google Sheets. It’s not fancy, but it works on phones and looks okay.
Basic stuff - my logo at the top, then columns for item, quantity, price. Totals at the bottom. Used larger font sizes so it’s readable on small screens.
Took some tweaking, but now I can pull it up, fill it out, and send as a PDF right from my phone. Clients seem happy with it.
If you’re not into DIY, Wave is a free option that has decent mobile invoicing. Used it before making my own template.
Google Docs works well for me. I made a simple template that looks good on phones.
It’s basic but professional: my info at the top, then a table for services and prices. I can quickly fill it out and send as a PDF from my phone.
No fancy features, but it gets the job done and clients never complain.
Been there, done that with the mobile invoice struggle. Here’s what worked for me:
- Canva templates
- Wave app
- Custom Google Sheet
Canva’s got some slick, mobile-friendly invoice templates. Free to use, easy to customize.
Wave app is my go-to now. Free, looks pro on any device, and tracks payments.
When I’m offline, I use a simple Google Sheet I made. Big fonts, basic layout, works on any screen.
Key things for mobile invoices:
- Keep it simple
- Use big fonts
- Test on different phones
Whatever you choose, make sure it’s quick to use. You don’t want to waste time fiddling with invoices on your phone.
Ditch the templates. Get an invoicing app. Most apps have mobile versions that look good and work smoothly. I use FreshBooks. It has a simple interface and sends clean invoices from my phone. It tracks payments too. It costs a bit but is worth it for looking professional and saving time. Look around and pick the one that fits your needs and budget.
Never thought about it. My old notebook works fine for me.
Tried a few apps but most were too complicated. Now I just use a basic Excel sheet. Works fine on my phone and looks okay. Clients don’t seem to mind.
