Mobile-friendly invoicing when working on-site with clients

Been handling more on-site projects lately, and the whole invoice-on-the-spot thing is becoming a pain. My current setup just doesn’t cut it on mobile.

Anyone else deal with this? How do you handle invoicing when you’re out and about with clients? Looking for something that won’t make me want to pull my hair out every time I need to bill someone.

I’ve been there. Used to dread invoicing after on-site jobs.

Found a sweet spot with Square. Their free app does the trick for me. I can make invoices, take payments, and even track inventory if needed. Works on my phone and tablet.

Best part? Clients can pay right away if they want. No more chasing checks.

One tip: Set up your most common services as items in the app. Makes creating invoices way faster when you’re rushing between jobs.

Just remember to keep your phone charged. Learned that one the hard way!

Scribble stuff on a scrap of paper. Transfer to computer later. Old school but works fine for me.

I just use my phone’s notes app. Write down what I did and the price. Send it to the client later when I’m back home. Not fancy, but it works for me.

I use a simple mobile invoicing app. It lets me create and send invoices right from my phone.

No need for fancy features. Just pick a client, add the job details, and hit send. Gets the job done without any fuss.

Makes life easier when you’re on-site and want to get paid quickly.

Been there, done that. Mobile invoicing can be a real headache.

Here’s what works for me:

  1. Google Sheets template
  2. Voice notes
  3. Photo receipts

I made a simple invoice template in Google Sheets. Works on my phone and I can access it anywhere. Quick to fill out between jobs.

For longer jobs, I use voice notes. Just talk through what I did and for how long. Easy to turn into an invoice later.

And for expenses? I snap photos of receipts. No more lost paper bits.

Not perfect, but it keeps me sane when I’m bouncing between clients all day. Plus, it’s free and I don’t need to learn new apps.

Look, here’s what I do. Got a basic template set up in my phone’s notes app. List the job, hours, and rate. Takes two minutes to fill out on site.

When I’m back at the office, I copy it into my invoicing software. Shoot it off to the client same day. They like getting it quick, I like getting paid fast.

No fancy apps needed. Just a system that works. Been doing it this way for years. Keeps things simple and gets the job done.
