Automated reminders work, but don’t overthink it. I use a basic online booking system that sends out text reminders 24 hours before and emails 2 days ahead. It’s cut my no-shows by about half.
Keep the messages short and clear. Include your contact info and a way to reschedule if they need to. That way they can’t say they didn’t know how to reach you.
For problem clients or big jobs, I still make a quick call the day before. Takes 30 seconds but saves a lot of headaches. Adjust your system as you go until you find what works for your business.
